Built in 1878 the villas Kyani, Villa 1878, Io and Daniel Spiti tucked away in a secluded part of Megalochori and Pyrgo Village to provide total privacy and an ideal hide away. Built into the volcanic rock the Villas once served as the village school, wineries or mill complexes. Since 1999 our Company Villas and Mansions of Santorini Island has acquired various properties on the island that have been abandoned and in disrepair since the earthquake in 1956. Following intensive research, we have renovated the properties using only the best materials sourced locally and from the mainland of Greece. We harnessed local knowledge, as the islanders have adapted to make best use of local materials available taking into account factors like the landscape, the weather, water supply and so forth. Our goal was to blend the functionality and aesthetics of the old villas with the surrounding village, and to bridge the gap between old and modern architecture. The layout of the houses take the form of the old traditional Santorini houses. The results are what we wish to share with our visitors, and we are proud to say ' It is simply spectacular '
